PDR Technicians: Where Did You Find Me?
On of your responsibilities in your business is to advertise and then to figure out how that advertising worked. You could choose, say three, separate places to advertise. You’re going to want to know, at the end of the day, which location is yielding the results that you want. If you’re paying for your advertising, then this becomes even more essential.
Create three Excel documents, you could just use Word too if you’re not comfortable with Excel. For every phone call you get, you will want to know where the customer came from and what happened as a result of that advertising? Timing when you should ask this question is completely up to you, except to say that you don’t want this to be the first words out of your mouth. If you have your website set up, and you should, then this will be easier to track where they came from. Also, online you can add a Landing Page that they will have to answer that question before moving forward. Hopefully you have set up your website so that your potential customer’s can upload pictures to your site for your review. If they are just calling you for a quote, or a time that you can come give them a quote, ask them when you are there.
No matter how you get the information, be sure to take note of everything said and how it ended up. Put this information into your document and then review this at the end of six months to a year. From this information, you will know which type of advertising worked, and which one was a complete waste of time.
